Poking P&G

Yesterday’s blog entry caused quite a stir.

We poked a little fun at Procter & Gamble’s Pantene packaging, where they confidently state “MADE IN THE USA from US and/or imported ingredients.” The artful “and/or” of course sails over the shampooed heads of most consumers.

It restricts P&G to an imported-ingredient percentage that legally must fall between, um, 0 and 100. Our observant friend Paul Libman reports that Trader Joe’s sells balsamic vinegar aged “up to 18 years,” which might mean last Wednesday afternoon.

We got other amused and/or amusing emails, but none from P&G. So if you know anyone there, poke them and see what they say.
